We got a scooter!! Lately we've been debating about whether or not to buy another car because we've been having to share the car during the day while Brian is at work. We looked into the whole car thing but all the financing and loans and credit wasn't adding up to what we wanted it to be so we thought it would be smart to wait a while, save some money and not go into debt.
A guy in our ward had a coworker who was selling her scooters. We went over and rode one, the price was right, we decided it would be good from Brian to travel back and forth to work on and we bought it. Also our friend helped us get it inspected and worked with his coworker to get us the title and a bill of sale. I was able to go to the Assessors office at the county offices and get it registered and get a license plate for it the very next day. Everything worked out and it's working great!

Be Prepared
With a new home and living in a new area away from family Brian and I put together emergency kits for Family Home Evening. I got the idea from my sister Liah and her family. While they were still students living in their apartment they had emergency kits and I knew that was something I wanted to do with my family even though my family is just Brian and I.
To help you get started on your own emergency kits and give you an idea about what to put in them here is a list of what we put in ours. Also make sure everyone in your family has their own backpack to store all of the things in.

Home Sweet Moab
We're all moved into our new apartment in Moab, Utah and we are loving it! Our apartment has two bedrooms, a beautiful kitchen, a washer and dryer and a nice family room/dining area. We love having two rooms so we don't have to cram all of our stuff into our bedroom or display it for the world to see in the family room.
We also have shelves and our washer and dryer in the bathroom as well. And to your left you can see a magic floating box. :)
When we moved into our apartment in Rexburg the first thing
on the wall was our beautiful clock we got from Brain’s present as a wedding
gift. So yet again our little clock was the first thing on the wall and I had
to take a picture.
Of course the very first thing that was actually set up in
our new place was the television because we have Dish Network and Brian was
super excited to get his sports channels back.
Here is our living/family room. It took us a while to figure
out how we wanted to arrange it because our couch is kind of big and awkward.
The beautiful side table we got as a graduation gift from my parents that my
brother Braxton made is being used as our TV stand and it looks great. I would
eventually like to have Braxton make us a real entertainment center and maybe a
coffee table too!
Here are the fun shelves in our family room that I am having
a blast decorating but the last couple shelves aren’t quite done yet.
This is our lovely kitchen and I am in heaven with all the
counter space! I love the aisle and there are so many cupboards and drawers it’s
amazing!
The spare bedroom isn’t quite put together yet but I’m
working on. When Brian's parents were helping us move in when I wanted something put in the spare room I called it Jenny's bedroom. Brian's cousin Jenny wants to come and stay one night on her way to go camping around Moab.
Our bedroom is the perfect size. It’s not ridiculously huge
like in our Rexburg apartment.
We also had a place to put our little TV in our room.
Here is the bathroom with a beautiful shower and there are
two sliding doors to the bathroom one leads into the bedroom and the other out
into the hall next to the front door so guests don’t have to walk through the
bedroom.
And that is our new apartment! We don’t have anything on the
walls yet but once we do it’ll make it more homey.
